I do not eat a raw diet.
I am not a vegetarian.
…but I LOVE the Grandma Reggie’s Raw Heaven salad.
The Garden Grille Café, located in Pawtucket, RI, is unassuming at first glance. It is located in a small shopping plaza in a small neighborhood of Rhode Island. If you didn’t know about it ahead of time, you might just walk on by. Luckily, I am in the know! The food is delicious and fresh, and the prices are more than reasonable.
If there ever is a vegetarian restaurant to bring your meat eating friends to, this is it. With such items as Garden Grille nachos, eggplant rollatini, and margherita pizzas, even the most difficult diner will be happy.
My favorite item on the menu is the super healthy Grandma Reggie’s Raw Heaven salad ($10), with arugula, mango, avocado, grapefruit, beet-infused jicama and cashew gomasio. The ingredients alone are remarkable, but put them all together and you have a rainbow of flavors, textures, and colors.

Eating healthy while dining out can sometimes be a challenge, and after one too many plain iceberg salads one needs a change. At this restaurant feel free to order anything on the menu! Every item is fresh and creative, and they even offer organic beer and wine.
Now, if only they opened up a location in my hometown of Philadelphia….

Looks like a great place to go before or after a Pawsox game!
